Mr. Sims is from Herrin, Illinois and now lives with his wife Jennifer and two children in Carterville, Illinois. 

 

Mr. Sims attended Southern Illinois University at Carbondale, earning an Associates of Applied Science in Architectural Technology as well as a Bachelor of Science degree in Architectural Studies. 

 

Mr. Sims is licensed to practice Architecture in Illinois, Kentucky and Missouri and is certified by the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards, which will allows him to be easily licensed in 45 other states. 

 

Mr. Sims’ has over thirty years of experience in architecture and various types of construction.  His experience includes facility condition assessments, space programming, design, project scheduling and sequencing, estimating, bidding and contract negotiations, construction administration, and observation.

Mr. Sims is  a member of the American Institute of Architects and a Certified Healthcare Constructor with the American Hospital Association and the American Healthcare Society of Engineers.
