Johnson County Administration and Court Complex

Architechniques performed programming, design and space-planning, feasibility studies, site evaluation studies, schematic design, design development, construction documents and construction administration for this new building development. This project, completed in 2024

houses all of the county administrative offices, 911, dispatch and emergency management services, the Sheriff’s offices as well as provides space for one jury proceedings courtroom and one non-jury courtroom.  Additional spaces included in the design are offices for the State’s Attorney and the Circuit Clerk.

After review of five potential sites the county citizen's and commissioners chose a site just off of the square in downtown Vienna near the existing courthouse. This choice of this site for the development is meant to spur a renewal in businesses locating downtown.

The building is nearly 40,000 square feet on three floors (two stories and full basement).  Total construction was nearly 15 million dollars.

Shawnee Surveying completed civil engineering services with Klingner and Associates assisting with civil construction services.  Asatuian Eaton and Associates provided mechanical and electrical consulting services and Bacon Farmer Workman provided Geotechnical and Structural Engineering for the project.  Samron Midwest Contracting was the General Contractor for the project.
